SABRINA BOURRÉ
LEGAL EXPERT – EXPERTISE IN CRIMINAL LAW AND CHILDREN'S RIGHTS – BUSINESS STRUCTURING AND TAXATION
It was a high-level legal battle that led Sabrina BOURRÉ to the path of law. Faced with major challenges, she transformed her personal commitment into genuine expertise, deepening her legal knowledge to the point of specialization. Her relentless determination and conviction notably resulted in official recognition, through the report of the CAT (Committee Against Torture), that the rape of a minor constitutes one of the most extreme forms of torture.
Sabrina BOURRÉ embodies the idea that law is not only learned in lecture halls, but also in the heart of life’s battles. Her journey, forged through real-life experience, gives her an instinctive understanding of legal struggles and the human realities they involve. She listens, advises, and defends with a strength deeply rooted in her own personal engagement.
Within the firm, those involved in legal battles naturally turn to her. Because more than a legal expert, Sabrina BOURRÉ is a fighter — a precious ally for those fighting for their rights, their dignity, and their future.
Long before she entered the legal field, Sabrina BOURRÉ thrived in the world of music and live performance. Passionate about musical creation and singing, she founded an association dedicated to producing artists and organizing events, which allowed her to build solid experience in the events industry and establish a broad, dynamic professional network. As an author, composer, and performer, she later created her own music production company and collaborated with Julien Thomas at TMProductions studio in Aix-les-Bains to produce her two studio albums.
But an unexpected turning point reshaped her path. Following a life-changing event, she immersed herself in the study of law, driven by a great capacity for learning and an insatiable intellectual curiosity. What began as a necessity quickly became a calling: defending human rights and advocating for causes essential to societal progress became self-evident.
Determined to take action, she committed herself to the nonprofit sector, providing tangible support to those seeking justice. Deeply concerned with the protection of women’s and children’s rights, she collaborated closely with lawyers, legal experts, and retired judges — first in the context of collective legal actions, and later as an observer of judicial practices related to violence against minors and court-ordered placements.
Soon, her role as an observer led her to broaden her analysis. She brought to light systemic dysfunctions within the French judicial system, especially in Grenoble. For nearly three years, as part of a media project she led with determination, she collected over a hundred testimonies from litigants denouncing abuses and misconduct within the justice system — revealing a nationwide issue.
At the same time, Sabrina BOURRÉ deepened her legal expertise, relentlessly studying criminal, civil, commercial, and constitutional procedures. Her reference readings span from the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights and the French Court of Cassation to publications from Doctrine and Dalloz, as well as reports by UN High Commissioners for Human Rights — notably those of the Committee Against Torture (CAT) and the Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC).
Thanks to her meticulous work and legal boldness, she became one of the first in France to legally qualify the rape of a minor as an act of torture and to present that legal argument before international bodies such as the CAT in Geneva and the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR). Six years after her first petitions, the CAT published a 70-page report titled “Paternal Incest and Institutional Torture in France”, thus acknowledging the scope of the issue and the impact of her advocacy.
In October 2023, a decisive turning point occurred: she was recruited to work on the independence of Savoy. Alongside Maître Dominique KOUNKOU and under his guidance, she undertook a Recognition of Prior Learning (VAE) process to obtain her Master's degree in International Law.
Convinced by her expertise and diligence, Maître KOUNKOU offered her a partnership at the Kounkou Law Firm — an alliance built on shared values and a bold vision of justice that has helped shape the firm’s current reach and reputation.
